As pdftk can not handle a file, if it's full filepath contains non-english characters, each time you select such file, you will be prompted about it. PdfTk-QGUI will make a copy of this file , locate it in ~/.suslictk/temp/ and rename it so that pdftk can handle it. Some options will be unavailable after this operation. PdfTk-QGUI assumes, that the full path to your home directory does not contain non-english characters!
As PdfTk-QGUI stores temporary files in ~/.suslictk/ and ~/.suslictk/temp/ , do not store your personal files in this directories. They may be deleted
N.B. For versions from 0.1.9 and higher:
Each time you select output filename that contains non-english characters, a temporary file will be created instead of selected one. Then PdfTk-QGUI will try to copy temporary file to selected location. You will be notified about this. You can press "Do not show again", if you do not want to be notified each time about such operation. PdfTk-QGUI still assumes, that the full path to your home directory does not contain non-english characters! This will be fixed in future versions.
You can now open pdf documents and text files using pdftk. After PdfTk-QGUI finishes launching, you will see something like this:
You can select desired action and file(s) to be processed. After this action finishes, you will see this dialog again. To close it, press "Cancel" or select action "None". To open this dialog once more, select Files->Actions.
